Eos; goddess and personification of dawn

Eos; goddess and personification of dawn

£2,525.00

Eos (aurora); rosy-fingered goddess of dawn, mother of the stars and winds, rides her chariot across the horizon to rid the world of darkness and announce the imminent arrival of her brother, the sun god Helios.

Eos was a strong goddess who loved deeply, mourned the loss of her loves and sons but did not indulge in hatred or revenge. Moreover, the beautiful colours of dawn tell us about the loveliness of Eos. She would rather spread love, colours, wisdom and divination than revenge or hatefulness.

Eos has been created to reflect the colours of a rose tinted cloud filled sky. Her subtle pinks, peaches and blues mix in a wonderful frothy mist reminiscent of a dewy morning sky. Layer upon layer of tulle of several shades creates the most magnificent cloudy princess dress.

Delicate ivory lace creeps from behind swathes of tulle over the bodice to cap sleeve detail, under which flows detachable tulle bishop sleeves with delicate lace cuffs.
