Crystal & Benj's Black and Blue gothic wedding
Benj and Crystal are long time friends. We’ve gotten to know Benj and Crystal through our love of tattoos. Benj is a tattooist and owner of True Colours Tattoo in Preston, and has been Rachel’s tattooist for years (and Rachel’s husband is studio manager at True Colours too).
We were so excited for them when they got engaged. It’s clear that they adore each other and it was awesome to hear them finally make plans to get married.
Like many couples in 2020 their wedding plans were postponed, new dates were found and a big party delayed for several months. They were then put on hold a second time, and then further delayed to next year, and then put on hold indefinitely. As it became obvious that we were heading into a second lockdown, and the possibility of a third lockdown or further months of uncertainty became more and more evident, they decided not to wait any longer. The larger party, with all their friends and family is still in the planning, but a whole new, much smaller elopement was planned in a few short weeks just before Christmas.
So let me tell you all about Crystal’s dress…
Crystal chose to go semi-bespoke… her dress was based on Demeter, but had the pentagram lacing of Zorya. We love it so much that we’re actually considering offering this as an option. She also chose the Amara overskirt and Helle cape for the ceremony so she could switch up her look throughout the day.
We’re just going to let the images speak for themselves… the say was captured by their good friend Samuele Dean Photography
It might not have been the day they originally planned but it was no less special. And I’ve just LOVED pouring over the images, and smiled so much at the fully tattooed adults applying temporary tattoos on each other!
A HUGE congratulations from all at Legend
