For the past year we’ve been kept on tenterhooks in the wedding industry and as frustrating as it’s been for us, it’s been even more so for our brides. We plan our big days well in advance to make the run up as stress free as humanly possible, but this year seems to be throwing curveball after curveball at us. Postponed dates and cancellations left, right and centre. All eagerly awaiting Boris to give us the green light on having more than 30 guests and to boogie on down with our loved ones on the big day (come on Boris, it’s a wedding!).

With that being said, the second lockdown hit us all hard and everyone had to start doing things out of the ordinary. Here at Legend Bridal we had to make the transition into taking our bespoke service through email and let me tell you, it’s not as easy as one might think!

Typically our bespoke fittings are super interactive, brides can try on wedding gowns, feel and select their fabrics, as well as see and modify sketches through detailed discussions. Shifting everything online meant both us and our bride Demi had to get to grips with describing the ideas floating in our heads, so we could clearly comprehend each other’s thoughts. Demi also had to send us her measurements using our easy measure guide here.

This process was a little peculiar for both us and the bride, nevertheless with years of expertise behind us, we managed to pull it together and create something truly special for the beautiful bride. Demi was also able to come to two fittings which made this process possible.

However, this wasn’t the only obstacle for bride to be Demi, who had planned a divine getaway wedding with future hubby Andrew on the luscious beaches of Jamaica. With her dream dress ready in a matter of days, Boris made the announcement which ruined her plans of getting married abroad.. but that wasn’t going to stop Demi!

“Hello, please ring me, I need the dress ready for Saturday if possible”, the message read. We scrambled to the phone to hear Demi had booked an emergency English wedding at Simply Fields Wedding Events, a stunningly beautiful outdoor venue with the green fields of Lancashire as the backdrop! Although not as first planned, I must say looking at these pictures, I couldn’t imagine it could have possibly been much better?! With grins from ear to ear, the bride, groom and entire entourage look like they’re having a right blast!

Demi and Andrew were also able to snap up the lovely wedding celebrant Hazel, as well as the brilliant Jules as their photographer.

And how about the dress? Despite the initial obstacles, Demi was able to get her dream wedding outfit; an ivory satin playsuit with Swarovski crystal shoulder accents, a stunning tulle rainbow overskirt for wedding gowns and matching rainbow hem veil. We even added a rainbow trim to the little bridesmaids dress to make mother and daughter two peas in a pod!

We hope Demi and Andrew enjoyed their special day as much as we enjoyed making this utterly stunning rainbow wedding dress, which made the already drop-dead-gorgeous Demi, look EVEN MORE drop-dead-gorgeous!
