Melissa and Alex Gothic Steampunk Wedding

Now this is a Steampunk wedding!

Dripping in detail and perfectly designed with such a dreamy harmonious colour palette that it could be straight out of a film set ā€¦ we are in absolute AWE! But then from our very first conversation with Mel we were in no doubt of her vision.

Mel first got in touch through Instagram. She knew right from the start that she wanted to design a bespoke wedding dress and already had a pretty clear idea of what she wanted. Mel and her parents came for a visit; Mel tried on our collection dresses to confirm styles and shapes and together we worked out fabrics and details to make her vision reality. And OMG we are smitten!

With the palest blue satin layered with black glitter tulle and scrolling with black sequined lace, Mel chose a skirt very like our Persephone dress, but changes the bodice from an off the shoulder design to a plunging V-neck.

We loved the dress on itā€™s own, but to see how Mel has accessories it with a custom belt and antique brass steampunk jewellery is just perfect. But maybe one of our favourite parts is Melā€™s custom cape, which combined our ā€˜Simply meant to beā€™ veil with our gold foil edged veil and OMG the text in gold is just stunning!

The whole wedding party looked amazing! The attention to detail is absolutely fantastic and the combination of colours, and fabric choices creates the most gorgeous group.

We are blown away too with how all Mel & Alexā€™s family and friends really embraced the steampunk wedding theme and the pictures are nothing short of amazing. Each friend and family member looks like they have stepped out of a time machine, with their Victorian-inspired attire, top hats, and goggles. Itā€™s amazing to see everyone run with the theme and bring it to life in their own unique way.

The wedding venue itself was transformed into a wonderland of gears, clocks, and brass, creating a magical ambiance to the occasion. Iā€™m sure it was a truly memorable event that showcased the beauty and creativity that can come from embracing a specific theme.

HUGE congratulations to Melissa and Alex
