Holly & Paul's Festival Wedding

Summertime brings all the brides to our yard and wow it’s certainly a busy time at Legend Bridal this season, what with new weddings, already booked weddings AND postponed weddings! But all that hard work certainly pays off when we see our brides beaming from ear to ear on their wedding day, knowing we had a part to play in that! Hollie and Paul are our most recent couple to tie the knot and we can’t wait to share their fun-filled festival wedding day with you!

Hollie rocked up to our wedding dress store in east Lancashire, with her eye on a uniquely dark dress for her festival themed wedding. She decided bespoke was the way to go and got to work designing her very own wedding dress and matching veil with our inhouse creative guru Rachel. Hollie carefully selected ingredients of grey satin back shantung and black chantilly lace for us to concoct her perfect wedding outfit potion!

Like many of our recent brides, Hollie was forced to postpone the big day. Her and future hubby Paul had decided they must wed on the day of the summer solstice as:
1. An excuse to celebrate something special in summer
2. An excuse to celebrate Hollie’s half birthday!
When they heard the news that the wedding couldn’t go ahead 21st June 2020, the couple had to wait an entire year for the next sizzling summer solstice!

The festival wedding took place at Samlesbury Hall, Lancashire, a venue oozing with history, character and maybe even a ghost or two! There were lawn games, (temporary) tattoos and a live band, 5K!, who put on a spectacular post lockdown show. Hollie wanted to give a special mention to the creatives behind her wonderfully unique “til death do us part” cake, which was baked and decorated by two of her gorgeous bridesmaids, Nikki and Katt. If we’ve learnt anything in life, it’s to get you a friend who bakes delicious sweet treats!

Hollie donned the day in her button up, full length grey satin with black tulle underlay and black Chantilly lace sleeves.. and of course we cannot forget our infamous grey ‘til death do us part veil.

Now I know a lot of you reading this probably found us through TikTok and will have undoubtedly seen our biggest hit, the “Til Death Us Do Part” veil (if you haven’t then check it out and follow us, @legendbridal). Well beautiful Hollie is the lucky owner of the original personalised veil with lace trim from that very video!

Looking from the photos, it certainly looked like a picturesque day to be remembered by all. Congratulations to the gorgeous Hollie and new husband Paul!
