Kayleigh & Peter's Disney Villain Inspired Wedding!

Bespoke black wedding dress disney villain wedding

Whilst we all know and love the picture-perfect Disney Princesses, like Cinderella with her glass slippers and Aurora in the deepest of slumbers; it will come as no surprise that we resonate much more with Disney’s dark and mysterious villains, like Ursula the Sea Witch and The Facilier’s voodoo; so, when Kayleigh and Peter approached us with their Disney Villain themed wedding, we were super excited to get started!

Kayleigh came to us for her first appointment in August 2020 with clear ideas of her dream dress; a high low hem, satin, black, teal and a belt embroidered with Disney Villain characters and motifs. Kayleigh chose to enhance her gown with our Asta cape adorned with Jack & Sally’s lyrics “simply meant to be” in black flocked velvet. Rachel, our bespoke seamstress, set to work drawing up sketches and production began!

Meanwhile, Kayleigh’s husband-to-be was busy choosing fabrics for his bespoke Groom’s Suit; dark teal wool with a purple paisley lining; it was going to be the perfect match for Kayleigh’s dress (shhh!).

The beauty of bespoke outfits is that the fit is going to be just right, made to measure for your body – and here at Legend we are wholly inclusive and body positive; we want you to feel like a Goddess in an outfit you know is right 100%. Of course, getting the fit right early on means more time for accessories like our Juniper Crown and Kayleigh’s handmade and hand embroidered villain inspired belt!

A wide velvet band, embroidered with the most infamous villian icons in a deliciously dark palet of black, teal, purple and silver sits perfectly on Kayleigh’s waist, drawing the eye in and creating the most phenomenal of hourglass silhouettes.

There to snap Kayleigh and Peter’s big day in August 2021 was our dear friend photographer Vicky Dubois, who not only photographs those iconic moments but captures the whole vibe of the day; not to mention her bright and bubbly energy which is sure to settle any nerves in the wedding party!

But the fun didn’t stop there! Kayleigh & Peter came to model for us at EWE wedding fair in February of this year, were they got to wear their outfits again on the runway during the Real Couple Parade; we loved seeing them again!
